Yeah, you messed up. I bet you're panicking! You've got a good reason to. Nothing kills a laptop quicker (ok maybe throwing it off a building in frustration) than liquids in the electricals.
- First step for you, if you did not already: Turn it off and do not turn it back on again until I say so.
- Secondly, open it and turn it upside down so the water can drain out.
- Thirdly, leave it to dry for a really long time. Like days. Give it a week if you can.
- Finally, turn it back on, cross your fingers and hope it works.
